Exhibition Notes

For this exhibition, academic advice regarding the handling, display, and preservation of meteorite specimens was provided by Atsushi Takenouchi of the Research Division (Materials Development Section), Kyoto University Museum.

About Atsushi Takenouchi

Atsushi Takenouchi contributed to the planning of the Kyoto University Museum special exhibition Messages from Space: From the Discovery of Meteorites to the Hayabusa2 Mission (2024). He is also a member of The Meteoritical Society.

Rather than providing extensive interpretive texts for each object, the exhibition was designed to encourage direct engagement with the materials themselves, allowing visitors to encounter the objects without imposing a fixed interpretation.

Please note that exhibited objects and display arrangements may be subject to change during the exhibition period.
