Meteorite Collection
Moldavite is a rare natural glass belonging to the tektite family, believed to have formed approximately 15 million years ago through the impact of a massive meteorite. Found exclusively in the region surrounding the Czech Republic, it is distinguished by its uniquely sculpted natural surface—etched by the extraordinary heat of the impact—and its beautiful deep green colour. Each specimen possesses an unmistakable character, embodying the artistry of nature itself.
Konronsha began collecting Moldavite in the United States during the 1990s and has carefully preserved the original purchase records and related documentation from that time. Today, our collection comprises approximately 1.5 kilograms of Moldavite, encompassing more than 170 individual specimens. Each piece has been carefully examined for its form, natural surface etching, clarity, and other distinctive characteristics.
From this collection, assembled and preserved over many years, we carefully select only those specimens of exceptional quality and condition for presentation and acquisition.
In addition, selected specimens are accompanied not only by certificates of authenticity issued by Czech collectors and specialists, but also by certificates authenticated in 1993 by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States in Prague through verification against the original documents. These Moldavites have been carefully preserved as valuable old-collection specimens with well-documented provenance.
